Meeting people...

Yesterday something awfully intersting has happened.
I was walking down the street with my pals coming back to teh college from an excellent lunch. ( no more cantina, now we have restaurants - but it's still cool, since we, the students get this sort of a subsidies so instead of paying 40 NOK we only pay about 15 NOK for lunch - respect for my homeland :D )
Anyways i am walking down the street and suddenly i hear smth.. I turned around and there was this hyperactive ( or so she appeared) girl, and she needed to repeat herself again so i finally managed to understand her ( yup, she was speaking faaaaast ) : " hey, you are from UWC". She managed to notice my College T - shirt even though i was wearing a jacket and the only thing you words you could see were "ed World College". Anyways she gratuated in Italy in 2005 so that makes her your coyear ! We didn't have much time to chat( will do that later) , but she seems really nice..
I find it funny, cause J. Lo. always used to say : " with this T-shirt you represent teh college.. and wherever you go, people will reckognise you.. and say - UWC - respect..
well, it actually happened even though i am not wearing college t-shirt that often actually..

Among other news, i am meeting Roman tommorow.. - that's gonna be respectful ;)

Also i got this diploma or a picece of paper ( i am supposed to be honored so i am a bit ) for being the best student in my class ( like the highest average mark (i've got 9.72 /10)- that's the only thing they look at in slovenia - marks - sad & sick) - and i even got a book i might read... if i feel like it, obviously..
Anyways, chill out and show some respect !

Another sunset

Since Matt posted a picture of sunset i decided to post one myself as well..
Now i have a digital camera so i actually take pictures occassionally, no matter how obscure that may seem.
Anyways, this picture was taken from Vodice, but i spent my holiday on Island Murter ( located in Croatia, for more info about its location click here )

Croatia is by far the most popular destination of slovene tourist, although we keep complaining and nagging about it. (we do have some issues to resolve on a national level, for example the sea border and our joint nuclear power plant, more specifically, who will take care of moderatly and higly radioactive waste... and then nationalism comes in action.)
Nevertheless, loads of Slovenes own weekends down there or their companies own appartmentes, and geographically speaking the coast is excellent - loads of islands ( over 1000, i believe ), mostly solid stone beach ( i don't wanna have sand up my ass, really) and due to closeness of Adriatic, high see temperatures - it can go up even to 27 - 28 degrees celsisus.

To cut the crap, Adriatic is cool, so is Croatia, so i am I.

So just enjoy the picture, and show some respect !

p.s. This blogger thing has retarded use of <>, or maybe it's just me..

p.p.s. Yet another edit : i might have a nicer picture somewhere - will post it if i manage to find it somewhere...

P.p.s. Adding yet another image..

Oh... And all the islands in the background are a part of kornati archipelago - a must see.

Oh, look a quiz..

I have had this quiz, and guess what i found out ..

You fit in with:
Humanism

Your ideals mostly resemble that of a Humanist. Although you do not have a lot of faith, you are devoted to making this world better, in the short time that you have to live. Humanists do not generally believe in an afterlife, and therefore, are committed to making the world a better place for themselves and future generations.

30% scientific.
40% reason-oriented.

Being tricked..

I was trying to post this a bit earlier, but i haven't managed to do it since i was busy ( what other excuse did you expect ? :p )
I would like to tell you guys what has happened to me last saturday..
Well, to be more precise it started on friday evening.
I was trying to fix my computer, which was having some major hickups and harddirve failures.. It was about 10 pm and i was getting quite upset since i hadn't managed to resolve the issuse for more than 4 horus, and i was getiing hungry. Then a friend of mine contacts me over MSN and says something like : " Hey ! A friend of mine, Andrej Whoever says he and his friends are thinking of organising themselves into a youth club and wanna come down to our place and check us out. Could you be there at 2 pm ?"
This sentence probably requires some explanation. The fact is we do have something i would translate as "youth club" ( and i ain't gonna bother finding a better suting one, so just get over and live with it ), where we do very interesting and obviously cool stuff, such as challenges for example ( which originate from lack of adrenalin due to the absence of fjords, BTW ) [ racing with shopping carts rings a bell, anyone ? ]
Anyways not to go too far explaining my friend has asked if i could be there and show this Andrej Whoever guy around. I was pretty busy with teh computer so i simply said :"For sure".
It was nothing unusual for me to do this kind of stuff on saturdays, since my friend is absent on saturdays ( he actually works on saturdays, can you imagine that ? ). I wasn't suscpicious even when he said he cannot give me this Andrej Whoever guy's number since his mobile phone is broken ( it happens to him all the time ).
Anyways i came there at 1:45 pm, waiting for the guy. I prepared some stuff he might like to see. I called my friend one more time, just to make sure this Andrej Whoever guy is actually coming - surprisingky my friend's phone was working.. - strange..
But still it didn't make any sense to me, until it was 2 pm. And guess who came around ? I don't know wheteher you manged to guess, but yes, it was Petra. Damn i was astonished (is that an SAT word ?), cause i really wasn't expecting her. I even asked her : " what are you doing here?", but then i sort of a managed to get teh puzzles together and realise it was a birthday surprise..
RESPECT ! ( on make that a double respect ).
Well, that was indeed less predictable than those UWC midnight birthdays..
Especially, since i didn't know Petra had my friend's email address..

But yeah, obviously it was cool and respectfull indeed.
Just, damn, how come i wasn't seeing it ?

Even Jedi skills cannot protect me from this one..
But as long i am enjoying every single second of it, it's cool..

Oh, and i got some nice mails from some ppl, not gonna mention anyone (you know who you are .. if you don't then you must be xiangming ;) - no offense my dearest chienese !)- thanks bitches, you rock !
Also respect for whoever managed to bother to read through all this ...
And for those of you who forgot about my B-day, it's cool - i keep on forgetting these things and sometimes wish to shoot myself in the foot because of this.
But that ain't the most important - as we all know - all it matters is RESPECT - so just show some !

Computers

I got a new machine the day before yesterday. Well, not really new - it's one year old, but nevertheless it's good enough for me and most importantly - it was ridiculously cheap. (sth. like 2800 NOK - yes, i know it's creepy to write a price in norwegain crowns, but so be it).

It's something like:
AMD 2500 XP +
512 MB DDR 400 ram
80 GB SCSI MAXTOR HDD
ATI Radeon 9200 + TV- out
And now the important one - 21 inch flat screen ! ( movies, anyone :D )

Now the thing was i was getting this annoying "Delayed Wirte Failure" error, whenever i was moving/ writing some files the on the hard disc.
I have done a couple of thing like reinstalled WinXP, browsed through a gazzillion of pages ( realised that millions of people have had the same problem, which was induced by a number of different reasons - like ati graphics drivers, HDD size and such - i needed to change about 10 different registy settings, which different people suggested and yet - 6 hours later i was still at the same spot - you can imagine i was pretty pissed at Windows and Billy at that point..
Finally i started unplugging different componenets one by one and realised it was the CD drive, which was in conflict with the HDD.
At that precise moment, i was being really pissed at it, cause the bloody operating system gave me no errors or reported any single conflict !
Luckily, i have installed serious sam before hand, so i was able to relieve my stress in doing something "usefull" till 1 am ;)

And now i am expected to do something productive - damn, you gotta hate that..
I will post some pictures as well, jsut let me transfer them from my old machine ( will take a while, though )
