When i was causally browsing the net i found a firefox download counter and realised it stands at 199 million something with about 2.7 downloads / second.
If this trend continues firefox will surpass 200 million downloads this tuesday.
Congrats to the firefox development team and spreadfirefox community, which has much to do for firefox's constantly increasing market share.
For those who don't know what firefox is : it's a free open source browser, about 5 mb download, available for windows, linux and mac. It's main power are hundreds of extensions, which can make your "browser experience" so awesomely cool.If you haven't tried it already, do it now.
p.s. If you don't like firefox, opera is kind of cool too.

Holidays, here I come !
Freedom has arrived as i am finally done with all of my exams since last friday.
It's not like i spent all my time studying and stressing about the exams, on the contrary i felt dissatisfied with myself, since i wasn't able to motivate myself according to my previous plans ( well i did actually manage to do it - 1 day out of 23 - still some is better than nothing - now i can have high hopes for the next year :).
I do have an excuse though. I studied seriously for the first exam. I got an excellent mark. I semi studied for the next one. I got an excellent mark again. I hardly studied for the following exam, yet i got a perfect score ( 100 % ), which noone from the more studious group of people got. How can i be motivated to study ? I can't honestly.
Now it's all over i don't need to have this feeling : "shit i have an exam tommorow, i have only gone through 60 % of all the stuff by now (12pm)". That's cool. Also, i managed to achieve and exceed the goals i have set for myself by a healthy margain, which makes me feel like i am intellegent or something.
Currently working on my research. After two months of standing still, i have finally made some progress during this week, which is encouraging.
Yesterday i managed to get 2 512 MB SD cards for my digital camera. The previous one stoped functioning for an unknown reason when it was most needed. So now i bought two of them, just it case this thing happens as unexpectedly as it has this time.
Also i am buying a new CD-player with mp3 support. By some strange coincidence ym sister has managed to finish off the previous one. It was 5 years old, which i think it's a long time for a CD player, especially if i am it's owner.
I was cosidering buying one of the real mp3 players with flash memory, but then i realised that they still don't have enough storage space for a reasonable price. 512 MB in an mp3 player is just not enough for me. I would like to have at least 2 GB of storage, which coast about 125 € ( the cheapest model, which probably sucks, something actually useful is about 150 € and beyond). Maybe i will buy one when the capacities will be at about 10 GB, which should happen by the end of this year ( in the US that is ).
So now i got a CD player for 25 €, and i can listen it at home with an adapter so i don't have to bother about the batteries, which would be one of the greatest annoyances with an mp3 player.
Anyways, time to go back to work..
p.s. Does this STUPID winoze machine have to constantly remind me it wants to restart itself. How come this shit cannot be turned off ? Now that's what i call annoying.

Little update !
Well, it wouldn't be fair to say i was busy, cause i wasn't. At least not to the amount i wouldn't be able to spare a couple of minutes writing something to this blog.
I have spent most of May weekends partying - about half of them on wider family picnics as some aunts /uncles have turned 40. That were most joyful evenets. I especially liked čevapčiči (you can see it on the picture)
If anyone desires to make it him/herself than click here.
Also we have had some birthday surprises.. The are two main differences between birthdays in the RCN and here and those two are :
a) People here haven't really don't expect to get birthdays surprieses so they are actually surprised. That's kind of different from RCN, where you spend the whole day thinking who is going to come and pick you up and politely remove yourself from the room to the computer lab, so your roommates don't have to bothering 'kicking' you out with a lame excuse. And even if you are a reatard so you don't manage to see anything happening, there is always gonna be someone asking you ( like Sanjeev in my 1st year for those who you remember him ) about 5 minutes to midnight : " is it going to be in the Hoegh or in the room ? "
And then about 30 seconds later someone 'randomly' enters the room saying if you wanna go watching movies in the Hoegh.. And then in the Hoegh - schock. Not that i wan't to say it's not nice - it IS but it seems so much better when people are actually schocked.
b) Secondly - we don't have a fjord. Of course we have some innovation capabilities and a pond, so we should be able to put something up. But clearly you cannot really celebrate birthday in the same fashion in the middle of a student campus or in a middle of a village...
Also it would appear very strange waking someone up, dragging him out of his house, put them in the care, drive them a couple of km to the pond, throw them in and than take them back..
So we don't have problems with two groups yelling : "throw him in.. " " NOOO ! you can't it's too cold.. ". " c'mon.. he is gonna be fine.. " " no it's fckn cold.. "
We needed to find an alternative and that is we started to singing serenades in the middle of the night.. Sometimes we have additional guitar powah and that makes us even louder.. I suppose the big plus is the serenade is more humilating than singing happy birthday in the cantina during dinner time - i suppose it depends on how loud we are ( and in how populated area the person lives ) ;).
Besides birthday and that kind of stuff i am sort of a studying. It's like - i AM studying but not nearly enoough, so sometimes i feel a bit guilty..
Education system in slovenia is very liberal. Basically you can do whatever you wan't to do during the year - don't need to go to the classes at all - there are no exams during the year. Only cumpolsory stuff are lab practices - but in social sciences even that is not a requirement..
Basically you are more or less given an opportunity to slack for 9 months or so, and then in 1 month you should make it up for the 9 months of slacking...
It gets quite stressful for some people. For me it's a personal challenge to control my stress, and not be nervous during the exam at all.. I managed to improve in those areas since the IB as i managed to be totally non nerveous, before , in between and after the exam.. and even before the oral exam, other nervous wrecks couldn't throw me out of my tranquility ( wait ! is that and SAT word ? I don't know. I remember it's one of the magic spells in a computer game is used to play, if it was SAT i would have forgotten it ;p )
So now i've set myself a constant tempo of 1 exam per week and managed to put up with it for now. ( 3 more to go )
Loads of real life stuff happens all the time. Yesterday for example i was at a valeta. Probably everyone wonders what that absurd phrase means. To my surprise it actually has a meaning in english. 1. A ballroom dance or dance tune with a fast waltz-like rhythm. Well, it's supposed to be something like a mini-prom for people leaving primary school. But it's mostely for the parets so they can see they haven't completely wasted their money on dancing classes and for everone else to say those really high sounding words about responsible citizens and such.. If you've read UWC mission statement, you should know what i mean.
I was there for the lights and the sound and it was quite nice actually. It's always cool to have view from the top as you can see much more than the rest of the people.
It reminded me a little bit of my UWC graduation.
Oh, i must definetly write something about football cup. Too bad norway didn't manage to get through, my brother is still a little bit angry cause i was waving and cheering with norwegain flag as they kicked our ass in football during the qualifications. ( i guess my purpose was achieved ).
My two main candidates for this cup are Argenitna and Neatherlands, so Patrick if you are reading this you are most welcome to buy me a drink ;)
And something for all of you footballers.. There was this friendly social competition called : "Sports against the drugs". The idea is people who do sports are less likely to consume drugs. Anyways i was participating in football ( small goals, 3 people / team just like in RCN ). We lost in the finals after the penalty shots, hence managed to get a silver medal.
I suppose that's quite respectful stuff.
Have a nice day !
and remember to blog !
cheers

Lazy ass !
That would be me.
I said to myself i would write something onto this blog and not let this blog become so deadly quiet... i said that to myself about 9-10 times, but haven't done it. Not untill i managed to meet Herman online yesterday.
That's when i decided to make this entry even if i am i a desperate need of studying right now. ( why does that studying shit seem to happen all the time ? )
Anyways, what have i been up doing for these two months..
Well, as always i didn't let myself get bored or anything like that.
In the club we have organised some nice coolish kind of stuff. We went climbing in march, and while there was still snow at my place ( oh my, we have had an incredibly LONG winter, we have had snow till end of March - too much, man .. ) there was nice warm sunshine. So we have done some quality climbing, with absolutely astonishing view around.. It's like almost like you were somewhere in the middle of the cliff ( although we didn't climb that high ) looking around. (obviously in this case you are not next to a fjord sorrounded by hills, so you can't see anything beside blueish to blackish water )..
I have done some sunbathing, some chilling, some small talk. You know relaxin. We got some pizzas. That was a damn nice day.
Also we went riding horses.. it was similar stuff as climbing only that we went for a burek ( look it up here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burek ).
Besides that we have had lots of events in the club we have - you know danicng and stuff like that..
Unfortunately we don't get that much money, so now we are attempting to get some, to continue with our projects and do new ones.. ( quite a hard thing to get financial resources here ).
We are definetly are not gonna be bored.
I am continuing to work on this webpage of ours. It's slowly but surely progressing.. i am learning stuff about different web technologies, which is cool..
The work at the institute has started to show some potencialy usable results. Now i need to write this thing up - and need to do it fast..
Also my exam period is closing fast.. so i need to study in oreder to achieve good results.
I am definetly not bored with the things i do. i mean cool things seem to happen all the time, altough i am going to cancel some of them in these day since .... exmas are coming.
Also i have plans for the summer all sorted out already..
The peak will be hitchiking thorough Europe beteween August 3rd and August 25th ( or something along those lines.. ) Me and a friend of mine are backpacking and hiking through europe.. you know the chilling way - the whole thing depends on how we fell like it, but our plans are to go top hungary, slovakia and poland to kaliningrad and then back through Checz republic and through austria..
As i said i might just happen we enjoy lets say Bratislava for example so much that we decide to stay there for the whole 3 weeks..
I think it's gonna be lots of fun ( definetly gonna write about this one.. )
Have fun, guys !
